MediaMarkt Startup Challenge

Terms & Conditions

Website use and application terms for MediaMarkt Startup Challenge, governed by Türkiye’s legal framework.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1. Scope and program contacts

These terms govern use of the MediaMarkt Startup Challenge website and the application pathway linked from it. The program is presented by MediaMarkt Türkiye and Tenity. Program questions may be directed to yilmaz.odaci@tenity.com.

These website terms do not replace edition-specific participation rules, an application-specific personal-data notice, an award agreement or a separate commercial agreement. The contracting organizer’s legal identity and any additional participation conditions must be identified in the relevant application documents before commitments are made.

2. Using the website

Use this website lawfully and do not interfere with its availability, compromise its security, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit unlawful material, or infringe another person’s rights. Access to public information does not authorize access to non-public systems or data.

Browsing the website is not consent to personal-data processing, marketing messages or cookies. Where a binding application acceptance is needed, the applicable terms must be made available before submission and accepted through an appropriate affirmative step.

3. Applications and eligibility

Applications are submitted using the Airtable form reached through Apply Now. Provide accurate, current information and only materials you are entitled to share. A person applying on behalf of a startup must have authority to represent it.

The applicable edition’s announced eligibility requirements, deadlines and submission instructions govern participation. These terms do not create an unannounced age restriction, location restriction, application fee or deadline. If a requirement is unclear, contact the organizers before submitting.

Do not include unnecessary personal data about customers, employees or other third parties, sensitive personal data, trade secrets or confidential material unless specifically requested through an appropriate protected process.

4. Evaluation and outcomes

Applications may be assessed through the announced program selection and jury process. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission, finalist status, an award, investment, employment, a pilot project or a commercial partnership.

Any benefit or award is subject to the applicable published participation rules and any separate agreement required to deliver it. Descriptions of past winners and previous editions do not constitute an offer of identical benefits for the current edition. Nothing in these terms excludes a participant’s mandatory legal rights.

5. Intellectual property and submissions

Website branding, text, photographs, logos and audiovisual material belong to their respective rights holders and are protected, including under Türkiye’s Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works. Access to the website does not transfer ownership or grant permission to commercially reuse protected material.

Applicants retain their intellectual-property rights. Submission alone does not transfer ownership or grant an unrestricted license. Any permission needed to evaluate materials or use a startup’s name, logo or presentation must be specified in the application rules or a separate agreement. Publicity permissions and any necessary personal-data consents must be separately scoped.

A public application form does not create a non-disclosure agreement. Arrange any necessary confidentiality protection before sharing confidential material.

6. Personal data and communications

Personal-data processing is subject to Law No. 6698. The responsible controller must provide the applicable information notice, including its identity, processing purposes, recipients, collection method, legal basis and Article 11 rights. The linked MediaMarkt disclosure is available for reference but does not necessarily cover every part of the jointly operated application process.

Acceptance of these terms is not explicit consent to data processing, international transfers or commercial electronic messages. Where required, those choices must be obtained separately. Program-administration messages and marketing messages must be assessed according to their purpose and the applicable law, including Law No. 6563 where relevant.

7. Third-party services

The application form is hosted by Airtable; video, press, partner and social links lead to external services. Those services have their own terms, privacy notices and cookie practices. An external link does not mean that the organizers control that website or guarantee its content.

Using an external service does not remove any responsibility the organizers have for their own processing or other obligations under applicable law.

8. Availability and changes

Information may need correction, and access may be interrupted by maintenance or technical issues. Material program changes should be communicated through the program’s official channels. Changes must respect existing commitments and mandatory law; a revised webpage does not automatically alter an agreement already concluded.

The organizers may address unlawful or abusive use through proportionate measures consistent with applicable law. These terms do not provide an unrestricted right to remove participants or withhold promised benefits.

9. Responsibility

Users are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of materials they supply and for protecting their own account and device security. Responsibility for loss or damage is determined under applicable law, including the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or waives mandatory consumer rights where those rights apply. No blanket waiver or unlimited indemnity is imposed by these website terms.

10. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without depriving a person of mandatory protections that otherwise apply. Please first contact yilmaz.odaci@tenity.com about a website or program concern.

The competent court or other authority is determined by applicable Turkish law. These terms do not impose an exclusive court clause on all visitors. Mandatory consumer remedies, data-protection complaints and other statutory rights remain available where applicable.

11. Language and revisions

English and Turkish versions are provided for accessibility. Any discrepancy should be raised with the organizers; applicable law and any validly agreed participation documents determine its resolution. The date shown identifies this website text’s latest revision. A revision does not constitute retroactive acceptance of new obligations.
